Once again, the Tokyo Olympics give us an example that life is about overcoming difficulties.
This Monday morning, 2, we witnessed another episode that goes down in the history of the Tokyo Olympic Games.
It all started when Dutch runner Sifan Hassan, who was participating in an athletics event, tripped over her opponent Edina Jebitok, from Kenya.
With the fall, Sifan was overtaken by the other competitors, taking the last position, just over 1 km to the end of the race.

What no one expected, however, is that, in addition to returning to the race, Sifan would recover to the point of leaving all the opponents behind, winning the race with an incredible 4min05s17, followed by the Australian Jessica Hull, with 4min05s28.
After the incredible feat that marked the race, Sifan received the support and recognition of her opponents who congratulated her on her unexpected victory. Now, the Dutch has a new challenge ahead in the semifinals of the competition, which takes place on Wednesday at 7am.

Hours later, when it was already night in Tokyo, the Dutch woman returned to the track and won the gold medal in the 5,000m event, making her name in the history of the Olympics in Japan.
